Maybe some of you can help me out...that would be a relief if someone could. I've heard new Bugs owner might not have such deep pockets? Is this true? And
if so, should we be worried? I`m hoping that with new ownership comes new/more advertisers and funding....

I think Frankool is basing his question about Mr. Scott on a post on made on the brahmas fan board. It's a reasonable question in view of the cutbacks made
by Scott to various parts of the business. Maybe the cuts will put the team in the black, maybe they won't. I don't know how he paid for the team but
it would be surprising if he paid cash. Even Doug Miller, who is reported to have more money than anyone else in the league, didn't pay cash for Allen.
Frankool got you folks stirred up over his "booing the National Anthem" post and it looks like ithe animosity may have carried over to this thread.

I don't like where the league is going...too many team folding or taking a season off. Seems to me like Global have no friggin idea what they're doing,
with their hockey operations anyway. I'd hate to see a team folding half way through the next season...
I hope more people go to Bug games and new advertisers show interest. Shreveport is too good of a hockey market for the CHL to lose. Everyone I know that played there have nothing but good things to say about their experience with the Bugs. Long live the Bugs... |
