1) Trevor is not going to be coming back as the assistant coach next year
----As much as this fact hurts, I think that it's necessary. The past ownership has said that the bugs have been losing money for the past few years. We can't afford an assistant coach right now. We have to cut costs to keep this team viable. I don't like it very much either, but it's a necessary step. Maybe in a few years we'll be able to afford one again. Right now, it's just not possible. Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise for Trevor. He's too good of a coach to be an assistant.
2)We may not have radio broadcasts for home/away/both
----I doubt this means that there won't be a play by play announcer. But I imagine that the games may be streamed online on the internet live instead of on the radio. This shouldn't be a problem for most people I wouldn't think. More cost saving measures
3) "You Suck" Chant
----Good God people, if this is really a major concern, you have issues. Again, we were 2 days away from not having hockey in Bossier and now you're bi***ing about something so pety? Let's turn that into a positive.
4)No permanent bus driver or bus
-----Again, I hate that we're losing our permanent bus driver and I'm sure our bus was nice, but charters will save a ton of money.
5)sales/marketing department
----I may have skipped over this in the article, but I remember about this in a thread. But not like we'd be losing much, as the bugs have had an inept one of these for as far as I can remember. Isn't Scott a marketing guy himself? I'll take his skills over the bozos we have currently anyways. There has been almost ZERO marketing
So as you can see, we're on the right track to making the bugs a viable, at least break-even, team again. So some of you guys need to remember what the alternative is. There are going to be changes, some that may cut loved personel, but they're necessary to make sure the bugs are not just a one year experiment for Mr. Scott. It's funny how things can go back to the way they were on this board so quickly after we had our legitimate scare with not having the bugs for this season solved. Hopefully, we'll realize that the new ownership/team has to be supported in order to ensure hockey here in bossier for a long time to come.
On a side note, I'd appreciate some prayers for me, as I'll be taking the MCAT this Thursday.
