This is the same group of politicos that made sure an ECHL team could not survive in their arena.
What makes anyone here think the CHL is any smarter/better prepared finacially than their ECHL predecessor? IMHO, if the Ice Bat ownership is smart, they will look elsewhere.
I make up my opinions from facts and reasoning, and not to suit any
body but myself. If people don't like my opinions, it makes little difference as I don't solicit their opinions or votes.

Logistics.
If Beaumont, TX is "East Coast" then I'm misinformed! Because of the logistics, Beaumont never generated any rivalries. No Fort Worth analogue. No Memphis analogue. At least with the CHL being in Beaumont that franchise would have Shreveport, Corpus (hopefully), the South Texas teams and &c. Better chance of Beau surviving in the CHL than in the ECHL. If Beau is Austin's only alternative they probably will take it. |

Travel and labor cost are much higher in the "E". It's a coast to coast league. The CHL is more regional so you have lower travel cost and more
visiting fans.
