In case the NHL game on NBC goes to overtime like it did last year, here's some info on what'll happen:
Know this: NBC's hockey coverage will end at 3:30 p.m. even if the game is in overtime. Coverage would then move to Versus. It will also be streamed online at NBCsports.com and NHL.com. Preakness prerace coverage takes precedence even though post time is 5:15 p.m.I think the precovereage of the horse race begins at 4:30.
NBC believes its three-hour window for the Stars-Red Wings allows for one overtime, if necessary.
