For the record, OD, the New York Times endorsed Hillary Clinton, not Mr. Obama. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/25/opinion/25fri1.html?_r=3&pagewanted=all&oref=slogin

Funny thing is: In the most recent primaries in West Virginia & Kentucky, the majority white voters in the 2 states were presumed "racist" for
voting in large numbers for Clinton & not for Obama. That, & it was repeatedly pointed out how uneducated they were. The funniest part is that Obama
receiving 92% of the Black vote prior to that wasn't seen as racist...
A bitter American, clinging to my guns & my religion, with antipathy for those who aren't like me...

But no doubt when presented with the choice between McCain & Obama the Old Gray Lady will come down squarely in Obama's court and give him their endorsement.
I make up my opinions from facts and reasoning, and not to suit any
body but myself. If people don't like my opinions, it makes little difference as I don't solicit their opinions or votes.

You just hit the nail on the head Ryder. It's only "racist" when they want it to be. They're sorta like a certain southern confection (i.e. "cupcake") we all know. Find a way to make the story meet your goals and never ever let the facts get in the way of your story!

McCain has no control over who endorses him, nor does Obama. But Obama surely could have left the church of the raving racist and anti-semite after hearing some of Wright's anti American, white or Jewish rants. |

In the process of changing churches myself. Obama chose not to because he believed in what his pastor preached about. Think about that folks, Obama obviously (by staying for two decades and contributing $25K last year) believes what was being said and wholeheartedly supports it. Leaving a church that you do not agree with ain't that hard to do! "Black Liberation Theology" isn't the same Christianity that you or I know. Look it up - do some research into exactly what the "Black Liberation Theology" the The Rev. Jeremiah Wright preached (and preaches) is. Bet it doesn't match up with your our understanding of Christianity!

"Black Liberation Theology" = the Religion of MARXISM.
Now I will head home to watch "I Have A Secret." |

Stunning, almost heretical op-ed piece in the NYT this morning:
Kennedy Talked; Khrushchev Triumphed. An excerpt:

Roger that, Walt!
Khruschev's perception of Kennedy at Vienna as a weinerschnitzel PRECIPITATED NIKITA'S INSTALLATION OF OFFENSIVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS IN CUBA; directly produced the Cuban Missile Crisis. Would this be the Vienna Sausage? Thank you. |
