And Scott said at the booster meeting last night that 5 of our defense should have not even been on the ice playing. Which brings the question of why he
didn't bring in some am's that were D instead of Forwards. Still haven't figured that one out. (it really doesn't matter at this point, does
it.) Lessons learned---

Thank you for confirming what I was saying during the playoffs when I said exactly the same. Our defensive corps didn't just get hurt at the very end of
the season, they were ailing well before and we brought in no rookies to help out until it was too late and then didn't play him. Love our coach or hate
him, he did err in the hockey ops part of the job when it came to getting the right kind of help when we needed it most.

Old Dogger your something else. Did you put your "Mudbugs colored" glasses on or what. You know its the off season dont you. You really believe
that if the series was played 5 more times the Mudbugs would win 5 times. Whatever, come on get real. Your were SWEPT, you didnt lose 4 games to 3 or
anything close to that. What a joke. Now I will admit, the games were close, but to say youd win 5 of 5 is ridiculous.
And you think you had the better team huh? Well you did have the better record in the regular season, but we still beat you head up 6 - 5. And in the season when it really counted, we won again 4 - 0. So if getting beat 10 out of 15 times makes you better then ............well I just dont know what to say, except that "can I have a shot of what youre drinkin' ?" |

But thanks for catching my typo - I actually meant to say three outta five times. But that won't change you opinion and that's just fine by me.

And with some leadership, motivation and/or better planning the Mudbugs just may have actually shown up for the playoffs.
Truth is - they didn't. But, IMHO, it wouldn't have taken too much effort to get them to do so.

similar to what I posted on another thread....we need to make sure that the defense DOES need to be on the ice...if it means taking care of them earlier in the
seasons then lets do it....getting some amateur help is fine but with our system you can't just throw players into the mix and expect the lines to have
their timing...sometimes i've said we may be a victim of our own system.....but carrying more d men from the get go might be a solution to some of the
problems....
