My mother went for her 6 month check up yesterday and there were two lumps found on a shunt that she had inserted many years ago. {They protrude out around her colarbone area} Her GP instructed her to follow up with her Neurologist to find out what is going on. I am scared to death. Part of me feels it could be just a calcium deposit or something similar on the shunt but being human, I also worry about the worst. I have heard politicians state it will be 10 years before we get a drop of oil from offshore drilling if we start tomorrow.

Doesn't this just mean that it will be 11,12,13,14,15,16 years before we see a drop of oil if we don't start drilling now?

Is it just me?
